The Cycling Tour: Day One

First day of the year, and I kicked things off by getting back in the saddle with Fantasy Novel One, with over a thousand words written, to boot! Of course, this early productivity will only serve to mock me when I inevitably stop writing three months or so from now. But maybe I can at least finish this first draft before then…

On the novel, I introduced a couple of new characters who should provide some nice plot complications down the road.

Anyway, on to things that really matter — the non-writing section of these posts! I’m mixing things up in a couple of ways:

1. I’ve uninstalled all the idle games I’d been playing. They were a time suck in a major way. Now, in the gaming section below, I’m going to pick a single game and play it to completion. Still a time suck, certainly, but at least it’s one that gives me the illusion of accomplishment.

2. I’m considering using affiliate links in these posts, to (theoretically) net myself a little extra cash as things go along. I’ve always found affiliate links creepy, personally, but I guess it’s one of the ways I’ve changed/I am changing after such a cruddy 2015. I’ll be sure and put up a disclaimer on the blog when it happens, in case you, too, find such links creepy.

(i.e. the Amazon links below are just normal, everyday links.)
